Some clients come sporadically and get what they need. Others find a looser ongoing rhythm works better. We'll find the shape that fits.

For deeper, sustained transformation, the coaching container is where that work happens.

⚘ What Is Somatic Experiencing?

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based approach to healing developed by Dr Peter Levine, built on the understanding that trauma isn't just what happened, it's how that experience is still living in your nervous system right now.

Animals in the wild regularly face life-threatening situations, and they recover naturally through shaking, trembling, discharging the survival energy the experience activated. Humans, in our effort to cope and carry on, often interrupt that process. The energy stays stuck. The nervous system stays primed. And we find ourselves reacting to the present as if the past is still happening.

SE works gently and precisely with the body to complete those interrupted responses by releasing the stored charge, restoring the nervous system's natural capacity to regulate, and allowing you to move through the world with more ease and less effort.

You don't have to retell the story in detail. You don't have to relive anything. We follow the body's own intelligence, at the body's own pace.

⚘ Who Is This For?

I offer SE for people who are functioning and ready but dealing with something specific that isn't shifting on its own.

You might relate to one or more of these:

Anxiety that feels disproportionate to the situation, or that arrives for no clear reason. A phobia that's been limiting you for years. Relational patterns that keep repeating no matter how much you understand them. A physical sense of tension, bracing, or holding that never fully releases. Old trauma surfacing not dramatically, but persistently. A feeling of being somehow disconnected from your own body, or from the present moment.

SE doesn't have to be a long-term commitment. Although establishing some momentum is useful, it can also be ad-hoc support, you come when you need it, we work with what's present, and you leave with something genuinely shifted.

Note: For people working with complex, developmental, or long-standing relational trauma, a sustained coaching container may be more appropriate. If you're not sure which is the right fit, the discovery call is the place to ask.

⚘ What a Session Looks Like

Sessions draw on Somatic Experiencing as their foundation, alongside other modalities I bring in as and when the work calls for it. That might mean elements of coaching, body-based inquiry, or other therapeutic approaches from my broader training, whatever serves what's present for you.

In practice, a session is a combination of talking and body-based awareness work: tuning into physical sensations, tracking how they move and change, and gently guiding the nervous system through the completion of interrupted responses.

It is quiet, attentive work. It is also surprisingly powerful. People often leave sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more settled in themselves than they have in years — sometimes decades.

Sessions are 60 minutes as standard and are available online or in person. A 30-minute format is also available — for returning clients, lighter-touch support, or those who find a little-and-often rhythm works better for them. We can talk through what makes sense on your discovery call.

    £60 — Online only.

    Available to existing clients for check-ins and lighter-touch support between fuller sessions.
